AUSTRIA – TRAVELLING RULES
The citizens of Czech Republic can enter and stay in the territory of the other member states of European Union without special limitations, on base of valid travelling document or personal identity card. Since 1st January 2006, new law regulation, regarding travelling documents, came into operation (No. 559/2004). According to this rule, personal identity card only would be travelling document necessary. Personal identity card is a travelling document for his holder only. Nevertheless, Interior Ministry recommends that a citizen of Czech Republic, younger than 15 years of age, travelling with their parents, would be equipped with his own travellimg document, despite his name is registered in identity cards of his parents. The drivers are obliged to have so called green card available.
Visas - Entry Regulations
In connection with entry of Czech Republic into European Union, each state citizen of Czech Republic could claim his right of stay in the other state of European Union (so called free move of persons), on base of Art.No.18 European Union Foundation Agreement, stating that „each Union citizen has the right to be at liberty and stay on territories of member states“. The right of stay could be limited only in cases stated by public order, public safety and health protection. Anyway, if your stay could be longer than 3 days, it is necessary to be registered in police station (in case of accommodation in private). When you are accommodated in public equipments, this duty is carried by lodging body.
Customs and Foreign Exchange Rules
No limitations for import and export of foreign exchange are stipulated. Nevertheless, the citizens of European Union are recommended to be equipped with sufficient financial means, in dependence of length and character of your stay there. Anyway, the limit of financial means is not strictly firmly stipulated.
