Documents for Belgium

Since 1st May 2004, the citizens of Czech Republic can enter and stay in territories of European Union states without special restrictions, on base of valid travelling document or personal identity card. Since 1st January 2006, new Law concerning travelling documents comes into force. The citizens can leave territory of Czech Republic with their personal identity card, contaning readable data, provided its marked part is not divided. According to declaration of  Interior Ministry of Czech Republic , the identity card has the importance for document holder only. So, the Ministry does not recommend that the person, younger as 15 years of age, who travels together with parents, and his name is written in their identity card, could travel without his own document, on base of this registration in identity card only.

When travelling by car, you are obliged to present the respective authorities the folloving documents: driving licence, technical paper (carte grise) and security document (green card).
