Since 1st May 2004, the citizens of Czech Republic can enter and stay on territory of  Member States of European Union without special restrictions, on base of valid personal travelling document or identity card. Since 1st January 2006,  new version  of Travel Documents Law  is valid (No. 559/2004). You can leave the territory of Czech Republic for travelling into states of European Union with personal identity card, containing all readable data, provided the marked part is not divided. According to declaration of Ministry of Interior of Czech Republic, the identity card is valid travelling document for document´s holder only.  Interior Ministry does not recommend that the citizen, younger as fifteen years of age, travelling together with his parents and written in their identity card, would travel without his own travelling document, only on base of this remark in identity card.

The drivers could, in the course of their short-day stays, use their valid Internatiuonal Driving Licence. Nevertheless, it is necessary to present valid technical document of the car, when going to Cyprus with his own vehicle.  Maximal allowed stay period on the territory of Cyprus makes three months. You have to present so called Green Card of the vehicle on request.
