Dominica is an island developping country. However, the respective tourist infrastructure is not too extensive. Regarding local criminality: this is corresponding to standard situation of the whole Caribbean area. We wish to recommend you, not to leave unattached valuable personal belongings in the beach.
The use of banking cards is limited. So, the payment in cash, in USD, is highly recommended.
The traffic in Dominica is effected on left part of the road. Road and ways´ nest is on quite good level. You can rent a car there, nevertheless, a taxi-service could be most effctive way of transport. You can applicate your international driving licence. On base of your local driving licence, the authorities of Dominica could issue your temporary driving licence.
The beach dressing could be applicated at swimming pools only. It is strictly forbidden to wear the dressing, reminding military uniforms. When making photos, you are adviced to ask in advance local people for their consent
The climate is tropical. Rain period is lasting since June till October, and this is a period of highest temperatures at the same time. However, the highest risk of houricane appearance arrives at that time period.
