Let yourselves draw into vibrant Berlin, into its districts as Kreuzberg, Neukölln or Prenzlauer Berg. Many tourists like to wander around the Museum Island, Brandenburg gate, or Fernsehturm TV tower in Berlin-Mitte (downtown). As in case of the Eiffel Tower the Fernsehturm can be seen from all corners of the city.

Intercultural gardens, nude beach, sheep, birds’ singing, rusty Ferris wheel making squeaking sounds in the wind, grass on the runway of former airport – these are some of many green places in Berlin. Easy-going atmosphere is typical in Berlin. Too bad that many try to do only sightseeing without stepping in Berlin’s green.

An icing on top of our journey in Thuringia is Weimar – a city with unimaginable rich cultural heritage. It lies on the River Inn, exactly in the center, that connects Erfurt and Jena.

Jena is the second largest Thuringian city. It lies on the River Saale about 50 kilometers east from Erfurt. It is an industrial city from time immemorial and it is world famous for its production of glass.

Wernigerode, a German town, is fun to see not only for fans of history, architecture, magical nature and hardcore fans of trains. There is a narrow railroad and also you can take a ride by steam train. The city is also called as “colorful city at Harz " (Die Bunte Stadt am Harz).

An ancient city that is today the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its history originally as oppidum of the Ubi, a Germanic tribe. During the first century AD when the Roman Empire expanded its border, the settlement became part of the Roman province of Germania Inferior and the settlement got a new Latin name of Colonia and became the capital of the province.

Bad Schandau, a German town, is situated almost on the border. We set off from Mlada Boleslav and travel in the direction to Ceska Lipa and Decin. We cross the border at Schmilka border crossing which is mere 8 kilometers from our point of interest. Bad Schandau, as the name suggests, is a spa town. It is situated on banks of the Elbe River in the heart of Saxon Switzerland national park. Bad Schandau consists of nine districts – the old town of Schandau, Krippen, Porschdorf, Neuporschorf, Prossen, Schmilka, Postelwitz, Waltersdorf and Ostrau. As Bad Schandau is really a small town, there are several places to visit.

Fichtelberg is 25 kilometers by air from Karlovy Vary. It is the highest mountain in the Ore Mountains but on theirs German side. It is a nice climb where you pass 1000 meters above sea level of altitude and you can see two countries from there.
