Lefkada forms a part from many islands, belonging to Greece. Its extent is not too big, coastal circumference makes 155 kms only, and total extent makes 303 km². The island is connected with mainland with a bridge, artificially strewed. The bridge substituted ferry traffic, which was quite effective.

Lefkada, together with the islands of Scorpion, Meganissi, Madouri, Sparti and Kalamos,is one of the smallest districts, forming the Greece. The number of population exceeds 22000 persons. Lefkas (7000 inhabitants) is a capital.

The terrain difference is diverse. High mountains (Stavrota - 1158 m - is the highest peak), waterfalls in inland, wild west coast at Agios Nikitas area, almost untouched with human hands, where great welles are splitting at white rocks. In the east, in the area of Nidri resort, the sea is calm, and the wind is suitable for kiteboarding, at Vassiliky zone, at south part of the island.

The island is ensnared with legends about Sapho, Greek poet. This girl would jump from south headland of the island - Doukatos Cap, the entry into Hades Empire. The island got its name according to the word lefkas (white), would pull in Greek culture, untouched nature, excellent gastronomy, and calm way of life at the seaside. The time is suddenly aside, and you are able to perceive positive energy  only, penetrating throughout the body.
