The Republic of Estonia is situated in northern Europe and is  the most northern country of Baltic republics.

POLITICS

Estonian Republic is a Parliament democracy. It is divided into 15 regions. Estonia entered  on 1st May 2004, together with other 9 countries, into European Union and two month earlier to NATO.

GEOGRAPHY

For the country in Estonia  is typical rugged coast line with nearly 1500 islands.  You find here over 1400 lakes in inland, numerous rivers, moistures  and mild undulated  hills reaching only about 300 m of heights.

THE NATURE

The climate is cold and influenced by Baltic Sea.

HEALTH CARE

Czech Tourists can receive be in Estonia  the medical  care  on base of European Certificate of Health Assurance or standard commercial insurance. Till the Card is not issued, the citizens can take – with the  Insurance Agency – the Form E 111 ( students who intend to study in Estonia can ask for Form E 128).

TRANSPORT

Roads condition  in towns is not good. The surface is often uneven with many wash-outs.

The roads outside the communities are in comparatively good condition. The surface of roads of the 2ns category is  sandy or gravelled.

In winter there are problems with  removing of snow.

PRESS, TV

In Estonia there are several dailies, one of this is public, but this is, unfortunately, publish in very small quantity of copies. On the Market there is one public TV station and  several commercial TV stations.
