Enns cycloroute
You can start your excursion at slope of Law Tauern Mountains, in an altitude of 1200 metres of sea level. Beautiful mountains as well as three lakes, suitable for bathing, are really a strong start. Further, you continue via towns of Altenmarkt and Radstadt to Schladming, bikers centre of Dachstein-Tauern Region. Around imposant Grimming, the route leads towards Trautenfels Castle and Admont, Benedictine Abbey, and you enter Gesausee Valley shortly. The route passes through this narrow valley high above right banks of Enns river. In Altenmarkt (at St. Gallen), at the beginning of Phyrn-Eisenwurzen Region, you can choose also route throughout wild romantic mountain range of Reichraminger Hintergebirge. You pass old raft market Weyer with wonderful square. Around Grossraming, there is allured possibility to make a branch-line into Limestone Alps National Park. Between ancient trade town of Steyr and Enns, the oldest town in Austria, there is to be found a border among Upper and Lower Austria. In Enns, you can continue your excursion along Danube route.
