Museum of toys in Benátky nad Jizerou
This private museum of toys could be found in groundfloor of Benátky nad Jizerou chateau. You can admire here toys not only of Czech (Bohemian) origin, but toys from Germany, Japan, China, France or United States. You can see dolls, miniature rooms, miniature sewing machines, cars (automobiles) manufactured from wood and plate-metal, and also ancient animals moving on key.
In second floor, you can visit also regional museum.

Chateau base is well preserved stronghold in Gothic-Renaissance style of 16th century, formed with massif building of west wing of the castle at present. Lower floor is a rest of original Gothic monastery. Famous Danish astronomer Tycho de Brahe stayed here at the end of 15th century.
