Dětenice Castle
Dětenice Chateau is situated in distance of 70 kms from Prague, in south-east direction, at the edge of Bohemian Paradise.
First notice about original stronghold comes of 1404. At the end of 16th century, the stronghold was reconstructed, by Křinecký Parentage of Ronov, in Renaissance style. Nevertheless, just within 1762-1765, Zacharias Fiegert, builder, changed the building into today´s face.
So, at present, you can find here preserved Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque frescos, wall paintings and decorations of Rococco and Neo-clasicism style. Rich collections of pictures, historical weapons as well as hunting trophys are placed here.
Moreover, several programmes in historical styles are organized here, such as Rococco balls or Middle Age banquets. In Middle Age tavern, you have the possibility to taste local beer or return into past time period for a while.
Moreover, you can see here fakir´s performances with fire and snakes, struggle between robbers, or try a dance with dancers on stone tables.
The programme could be ordered for whatever day or hour.
