The castle was probably established by Markvartice Parentage in second half of 13th century. Rests of this aristocratic castle are to be found on headland over Vazovec brook, near to the community of Dolánky. Two-parts castle was protected with three ditches and wooden barbican. During archaeological investigations, an earth oven was discovered. The castle ceased to exist at construction of more modern castle of Hrubý Rohozec.
At present, a part of limestone headland is devastated by construction of road and railway line.
