Bažantnice Educational Path
This path starts at the edge of forest and road from Třebíč to Račerovice. It leads through alley of protected linden trees up to forest complex of Dolní Bažantice. On the route, you find nine stops, where there are placed information tables. Here, you get more information regarding history and protection of forests in Třebíč district. On some places, there are to be found small plates, containing information regarding certain sort of trees. On trees, there are placed interesting booths for bats. Nevertheless, there are growing in forests non-original wooden trees from North America, such as pine-tree „vejmutovka“ and Douglas trees. In forests, you can watch hares or roe-deers. Small water reservoirs are being constructed here, so the animals have suitable drinking possibilities available. However, there are exisiting here also offenders who harm wood trees. These are, first of all, bark-beetles and black arches. Anyway, the forest is protected, against these harmers, by titmice, and woodpeckers.
