. It is situated in a community of Hluboká nad Vltavou.

April, September and October: 9,00 h-16,30 h
May, June, July and August: 9,00 h - 17,00 h
Arrival, parking:
If you arrive from Strakonice, České Budějovice or Tábor, you can see marked branch-line in Hluboká nad Vltavou.
As to parking: you can leave your car nearby the castle, there are plenty of places here.
The arrival directly to the castle is not allowed , with the exception of hotel-guests they are accommodated here.
History:
The original castle of 13th century was successively changed in Baroque and Renaissance style. However, within 1841-1871 the castle had to be re-built, so its original face had to be cha
nged.
Present time:
The castle belongs to those most beautiful and most visited in Czech Republic. You find here rich collections and very valuable furniture. Local walls lining and cealings are decorated with rare woods . If you visit former castle riding-ground, you find South Bohemian Aleš Picture and Statues Gallery with exhibition of Gothic paintings and statues.
Interesting fact:
Nearest castle-outskirts was created by long-years staunch activity. A base forms a garden with short grass-surface and vast deer-park with alleys of very old trees.
Recommandation:
To most valuable interiors belongs Hamilton Cabinet with pictures of European Masters of 16th-18th centuries, further Morning Hall where the most valuable furniture is situated, and Great Dining Room with wall carpets of 17th century.
