Čechy pod Košířem look out tower is involved in castle category. It is situated in marvellous park, nearby Neo-classic chateau.
History:
The history of the chateau is connected especially with aristocratic Silva-Taroucca Parentage. This Parentage came from Portugal originally. They owned a castle within 1696-1945. Count Erwin effected the reconstruction into today´s face within 1839-1843. At that time period, there was established romantic park, containing many beautiful trees, ponds, lakes, glasshouse, pavillons and also look out tower. It is 15 metres high, brick-built builiding, interesting especially with its eight-cornered form. The people named it „Vežka“. The building was completely reconstructed in 1990, however closed for public. The entrance and mounting is possible on solemny occasions only.

Interesting note: Famous painter Joseph Mánes enjoyed very much the view from tower top. He was very often as a guest in the chateau, and made a lot of his painting works here.
