Hodonín Spa is placed in nature park, at the surroundings of the town of Hodonín, situated along Morava river, South Moravia Region, in an altitude of 167 metres above sea level. With its history, it belongs to youngest spas of Czech Republic. In middle of 20th century, there was found (during petrol mining), that drawn water from sinkings, near to the community of Lužice, contains increased quantity of iodide. After balneological investigation, it was found that mineral water with high contents of iodide salts and law mineralization, is determined for treatment of moving apparatus and circulating apparatus. On base of obtained results, there was established a spa in Hodonín, and the balneological activity was started in July 1979. Treatment effects of this iodide-bromide water are being used for baths procedures. At the end of 2006, there were finished new balneological buildings, including rehabilitation swimming pool and balneo-service, connected with actual building complex.
Spa-surroundings offer to visitors many ways of their leasure time activities. South Moravia is a region with important historical monuments, local folklore, vineyards and very nice nature.
