A person who would like to leave Lisbon with its busy way of life there, so any small change is always welcome! And the community of Sintra is just the right place! George Gordon Byron, English romantical writer and poet, signed this place as a real paradise on the earth. He himself, similarly as the other personalities of world cultural life, stayed in Hotel Lawrence, the oldest hotel of Iberian Peninsula.
Sintra is an ancient town, registered in UNESCO Heritage Survey. It is decorated with several unique monuments, such as: Sintra National Palace, Quinta da Regaleira Palace, Pena National Palace, Montserrate Palace and Moorse Castle. Sintra is only 30 kms distant from capital Lisbon.
