Without existence of Lenešice Embellish Club and fall of local church tower, so this small village, close to the town of Louny, would be completely forgotten for ever.
At present, Lenešice has 1400 inhabitants approx. You can see there a castle, a granary of Baroque style, Huss bell-tower and the highest chimney of octagonal form of Czech Republic. Moreover, and it is very important, local Club is indefatigably looking after monuments from past, which change to ruins. And this is a lot of work, no doubt...
Two years ago, church tower in Lenešice fell down. Nevertheless, local inhabitants did not explain it as a bad sign. And now, it is a couple of days, when a reconstruction will start. The bases are ready. Anyway, it is a merit of Lenešice Embellishing Club, that the church will be renovated. They are doing all possible for a fact, to return the building its original form.
Who ever have gone along Elbe to Germany certainly noted beautiful landscape along the river banks. Similar attributes belong to the town of Decin. The town is located on the meeting of the Elbe and Ploucnice rivers. On a cliff above the point where the two rivers meet, there is Decin Chateau, local landmark.
Litoměřice is similar town as Slaný, known as so called King's town. Anyway, this locality deserves well such attribute, especially for the fact that belongs to the oldest Bohemian seats.
"This is too distant and long, similar to Lovosice!" nearly anybody knows such comparison, mostly those individuals who know this town personally. We do not mention the number of letters of this word (many people have such opinion) but we take in mind real length of the locality. So, Lovosice, "The Garden of Bohemia", is really the town of rather big length.
Coming road from Prague gives to forsee that Žatec could be quite extraordinary town. Anyway, if somebody who visits Žatec does not take with any extraordinary impression, this town, not distant from German border, has one actual leading position: it is the greatest one of the whole Louny district,as far as the number of inhabitants concerns.
The town of Louny has not so many sightseeings available, making comparison to Domažlice (West Bohemia) or Slavonice (South Bohemia). Nevertheless, who does not know, how Louny looks like, is not expecting any wonder. Maybe, he could imagine some town of standard level, the choice of which could be wide. On the other hand, the person who knows Louny, is pleased to return there again.
The rake, scythe,flail as well as straw bunch, so, all these subjects the village of Lenešice has in its escutcheon. In past, it was very important agricultural community. At present, the village, situated at Ohře-river, is well known, especially thanks to a church in Romanesque style.

Nevertheless, despite the fact that this small town has its strange name, similarly, its past and present time are nearly quite curious.
