In Central Bohemia in the Beroun district at the foot of a Křivoklát forests you can find Točník who founded Wenceslas IV. After the fire about half a mile distant castle beggar, then was Točník its successor - the surrounding countryside was a paradise for hunters and the castle was strategically at the junction between Prague and Nuremberg. Castle of Křivoklát belongs to one of our oldest and most important buildings in Czech Republic. It is situated in heart of beautiful forests. First notice about this castle comes from beginning of 12th century. Thanks to its position, Křivoklát became very popular with Bohemian Kings and Princes, and the castle was used as their hunting-seat.

At the foot of Křivoklát forests in the undulating landscape of the remains of one of the oldest castles in the Czech Republic - ruins of a Žebrák castle. On the same ridge, only a little higher bask Točník castle, the younger of two inseparable allies.
