Jizerské Mountains - Czech republic

Jizerské Mountains are the most northern mountain range of Czech Republic. The mountains derive its name  according to the river of Jizera, springing on slopes of Smrk, being the highest  point of these mountains. The mountains were originally considered as a western  extremity of Krkonoše (Giant Mountains). Its essential part is situated in Poland, where you can find the highest point of these mountains  (Wysoka Kopa).

Around the mountains there are situated the towns , such as Liberec, Frýdlant, Nové Město pod Smrkem, Desná , Tanvald and Jablonec nad Nisou.

This ski area is situated at the edge of the community of Desná, Region of Liberec, Jizerské Mountains, in an altitude of 685-788 metres above sea level. Owing to its altitude, the skiing on nature snow is available. The ski routes are arranged daily.

This ski area is offering in winter the following services:

- ski descent routes, difficulty stages: blue and red

- evening skiing, thanks to illumination of the best quality level

- ski lifts

- ski and snowboard learning school for adults and for children

- snowboarding

- restaurant and refreshment on spot

- parking at low station of ski lifts

During summer season, the area offers:

- tourist excursions in surroundings

- cycling
