Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) - Czech republic
These mountains are situated in north-east part of Bohemia on the frontier with Poland.
Giant Mountains are the highest mountain range in Czech Republic. The highest point of this range -and at the same time of the whole Czech Republic –is Sněžka the peak 1602 m high.
The mountains of Krkonoše are, thanks to big quantity of rare sorts of plants and animals declared in 1963 as National Park (KRNAP).

LABSKA DAM
Water reservoir Labská Dam is situated on upper flow of Elbe river at southern edge of Špindlerův Mlýn. The basin was built within 1910-1914 as a protection against floodings. In 1980, there was constructed over the bay road bridge, 120 m long, with its higher pillar of 30 m height. In 1994, there was placed in pier a small water electric power station with 4 turbines of total capacity 474 kW.
