Beskydy

Beskydy  Mountains are  situated  in the eastern part of Czech Republic near to the border with  Poland and Slovakia . They are formed by Moravian and Silesian Beskydy and its environs, Štramberk Highlands and the northern part of Vsetín Hills. The  highest point of Beskydy is  Lysá hora (1323 m), on  the frontier of Poland and Slovakia , in an area of Oravské and Zywiecké Beskydy there is Babia hora (1725 m). On the territory of Beskydy there is extending Protected Natural Area Beskydy.

Lašská gateway is a small tourist resort situated in the north of Moravia. It is an imaginary gateway to Beskydy and frequent destination of trips and vacations. To those who visit Beskydy, open their heart towns - Kopřivnice, Štramberk, Hukvaldy and Příbor.

Kněhyně

Kněhyně (1257 metres above sea level) is a massif, distant 6 kms of the community of Trojanovice, with several rocks and wonderful view.

Magurka

Magurka (1067 m) is a peak, distant approx. 4 kms of the community of Kněhyně, in north-east direction. The access is possible along green marked tourist signs, however, up to the top there is no marked trail available, so the access is rather difficult. On a top, there is located geodetical point.

Travný

Travný is an afforested hill situated in Beskydy Mountains in Moravia-Silesia Region, in an area of Lysá-Hora Highlands, between communities of Morávka and Krásná.

Ski area Vítkovice-Bílá

In a valley of Bílá Ostravice-river it is situated Ski-area Vítkovice-Bílá. Six ski-descending routes of middle and low difficulties are available, it is ideal for children teaching. All routes (total of 4500 m length) are covered with artificial technical snow, some of them are lightened for night skiing.

Radhošť

Radhošť – it is a mountain of 1129 m of height situated in Beskydy Mountains, from times immemorial the seat of pagan Lord Radegast-Lord of the Sun, War and Victory. Its human shape, made in a statue form, does not have the desired effect, and it could not be quite favourable to make angry this person.

Ski space Mosty near Jablunkov

This area is situated at foot of hill of Grúň in an altitude of 700 m of sea level, in Frýdek-Místek district. The access is possible by car or by means of public transport. This area has a family character.

Pustevny

Ski resort of Pustevny is situated in a distance of 6 kms only from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm in district of Nový Jičín. It is placed in an altitude of 1018 m of sea level, in northers slopes of Radhošť Mountain (1129 m) – the biggest peak of Beskydy Mountains. It is an excellent place for walking and for cycling during summer months.

Lysá hora

Lysá Hora mountain measures 1323 and is the most high top of Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mountains. You can reach it on foot, by cycle and on skiies – supposed the positive snow conditions prevale. A big massiv of Lysá hora is divided the valleys of rivers Ostravice, Řečice and Mohelnice.
