Javorníky Mountains

Javorníky Mountains are situated on territory of Moravia and Slovakia in the region of Slovakia-Moravian Carpathian Mountains. The highest point is Velký Javorník ( 1071 m), marked also as Chotárna. Most part of Javorníky Mountains belong to Slovakia.
On the Czech territory Javorníky form part of Protected Natural Area Beskydy.

We have prepared for you some tips for excursions, you can undertake visiting this mountain-range at south-eastern border of Slovak-Moravian Carpathian Mountains.
We visit Malý Javorník (Small Javorník), mountains cottages Portáš and Kohútka, nature reservation Razula as well as community of Nový Hrozenkov, etc.

The top is situated in a middle, highest part of Javorníky ( 1019 m), The mountain is sometimes named as Chotárna. On a top you find the emergency penthouse and also a stop of instruction path Javorníky-Družby. It is a marvelous view to the countryside. On southern slopes there is a natural reservation Adamkov with saved original communions.
