Jeseníky Mountains

Protected Natural Area Jeseníky Mountains is the  most norhern mountain range of Czech Republic, containing Hrubý Jeseník and the respective parts of Hanušovice and Zlaté Hory Highlands  of total area of 74 000 ha. It was declared here the birds reservation  area Jeseníky

(52228 ha) and important birds area Jeseníky (74391 ha).

Historically, the second season starts this year, the baby of the ski resorts in the Czech Republic - Jeseníky Ski area Kouty. Operators on this year promise favourable prices. Compared to last year should also improve conditions for skiers and snowboarders.

Mravenečník hill

Mravenečník is an independent mountain massif, situated in Jeseníky Mountains. It is formed with several mountains - Great and Small Nežerná, Vesník, Dlouhá stráň (Long Hillside) and Mravenečník, hill of the same name.

Venus volcano

Venus volcano (643 m) is a nature place of interest. It is a volcano, the top of which is covered with red-brown laying of slag and volcano-sand. You can see here a direction, where lava flew out of volcano. The volcano is situated near to the community of Mezina.

Velký Roudný

Velký Roudný is a knolled hill with afforested top and a striking stripes of woods between meadows on a slope. Together with Malý Roudný forms two outstanding peaks over the community of Roudno (Bruntál district) and a water-level of Slezská Harta Dam. The volcano was active one or two millions of years ago, this means at the end of Tertiary Formations and at the beginning of Quarter Formati

Ski centre Praděd - Ovčárna

Praděd is the hignest mountain of Jeseníky ( 1492 m). On its top you find TV sender of 162 m height and look-out-tower , this is the highest point in Czech Republic. The look-out-tower is open for public all year round. The centre Ovčárna is situated in the middle of protected countryside , not far of tops of Petrovy kameny ( Peter´s Stones).
