Orlické Mountains

Orlické Mountains are situated on the border with Poland and Czech Republic, in north-east Bohemia. The highest point is Velká deštná (1115 m). Metuje, Bělá and Divoká (Wild) Orlice rivers flow through these mountains. For this area is typical national architecture and many monuments. Part of Orlické Mountains was declared as Protected Natural Area in 1969.

Častolovice is a picturesque town situated in East Bohemia, located close to Orlické Mountains, in an altitude of 268 metres above sea level, in eastern direction from Hradec Králové, and 35 kilometres distant from Pardubice. Thanks to its position, rich cultural and social life and sightseeings, Častolovice is a frequent target of many visitors.

The path of Orlická-range route between the community of Olešnice and Land-Gate or Čihák Challet has the leghth of 42 kms approx. It is a day route for experienced skiiers. If you have enough time and a sufficiency snow is available, you can use many diversion routes for your ski-excursions in Orlické Mountains.

Čeňkovice

The community of Čenkovice is a picturesque village, 22 kms distant of the town of Ústí nad Orlicí, situated at slope of Buková hora. The village has 200 inhabitants. It is situated in Orlické Mountains, in winter there are good possibilities for skiing. Anyway, the visitors will not be bored during summer, as well.
