The Lake of Prášily belongs to eight glacier lakes of Bohemian Forest. We find it in an altitude of 1080 m of sea level. Its extention makes 3,7 ha ,its depth is maximal 15 m.

The lake pier forms a  mound of 9 m height formed of granite boulders and two smaller moraine mounds. The water flows from a lake through Jezerní potok (Lake Brook) to Křemelná-river , which is a tributary of Otava, Vltava and Elbe-rivers.

You reach the lake following red tourist sign from community of Prášily. On a pier, it is placed a stony monument of student O. Kareis, who got drowned here in 1927.

Over the lake, there is risen  Poledník Mountain (Meridian Mountain) , where the look-out-tower was open for public in 1998.
