Let us invite you to visit Bystrice pod Hostynem, a place offering many great experiences. Regardless if you start by touring Thonete villa showcasing the production of famous bended furniture, or you walk through the city center with its rainbow fountain, or see St Egidius church, or the baroque-classicist chateau. The Virgin Mary of Hostyn will overlook your wandering there. She is the patron of the site of pilgrimage on Svaty Hostyn hill three kilometers away. There is the Assumption of the Virgin Mary basilica, or a lookout tower giving visitors splendid vistas.

Kvetna Garden is our last stop in Kromeriz. The garden is true gem of architecture even on global scale.
Last week, we concluded our article on Kromeriz at Podzamecka garden which is listed as a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is amazing nature gem of this picturesque city.
During our walks in Kromeriz we reached Archbishopric chateau on Snemovni sqaure. We follow up on our last week's walk and explore more of beautiful places in this city. Before entering the cahteau, we visit the Mlynska gate which is a part of city's fortification.
Today we make our first walk i Kromeriz. We will look at the most amazing gems of its architecture, see its marvelous squares, and picturesque streets.
In our new mini series we introduce you to Kromeriz, a town of beautiful streets, squares, sacral constructions, amazing gardens, and UNSECO sights. We will roam in one of the most beautiful places in the Czech Republic. Its amazing history, culture, and knowledge is why it is called Athens of Hana.
We left Republiky sqaure for St Wenceslas Cathedral situated on Wenceslas square. The cathedral houses Roman Catholic archdiocesis of Olomouc. The grandiose Romanesque/Gothic structure has some Baroque features and rich decoration of sculptures. It is true jaded gem of the city.
Upon seeing Dolni and Zerotinovo squares, we walked down several streets and found ourselves on Horni square again. Church of St Moritz is located near to it.
Last week we started with our tour around Olomouc. We briefly told you about its history. The point of start was Horni square. The Holy Trinity column, and the town hall with a tower belong to its main landmarks.
After visiting the pilgrimage place Holy Hostýn we could not miss even three kilometers remote sites town Bystřice pod Hostýnem, which is famous for the production bentwood furniture. Of course the furniture is far from everything this town has to offer.
This time we are about to visit the highest situated Marian pilgrimage site in Moravia. For centuries, it has attracted pilgrims from near as well as from afar. The place we talk about is Svaty Hostyn.
On the western edge of the Hostyn Hills, in Kromeriz district, there is a small town of Holesov. The town is known for its early Baroque chateau and its grandiose French style park as well as for its well-known jewish community in the past.
11 kilometers from Holesov, there is the village of Rymice with lures such as folk architecture.
Today we will roam around in Moravia, the region of Olomouc. We visit the city of Prerov, a great place for holidaymakers and also an imporant city in the region which is only 20 kilometers from Olomouc.
The Moravian Gate geomorphological unit has many interesting nooks in nature as well as interesting towns one of which Hranice is. This town is 23 kilometers awy from Prerov. Since the Prehistory it has been an important crossroad of various roads. History and modernity are both present in this town.
Not a long time ago we enjoyed the town of Hranice. Several hours of walk later we moved on. Again, we parked our in Teplice nad Becvou, one of the most important spa areas in the Czech Republic.
During our last visit to Teplice nad Becvou, we saw the spa town, enjoyed its healing water, and made a trip to the deepest abyss in teh world - the Hranice Abyss. Yet we skipped a visit to another unique phenomenna in Europe. This one is even a national nature landmark.
Today, we visit Olomouc a city in central part of Moravia which is known for its smelly cheese, landmarks, flower exhibition and rich history.
