In the Mala Fatra, northern Slovakia. There are many tourist trail that go into various parts of this mountain range. Very interesting one is a hike going through north the Lucanske Mala Fatra. The trail starts near Ziline, at Visnova town. At the end of the village, we go on blue trail. This one will take us up to Mincol. During our tour we can also see Hoblik hill (934 m), a cone-shaped formation. Then we go to Mincol (1 364 m). Through there goes a ridge red trail. From Mincol, we go up north following the main ridge of the Mala Fatra, choose red trail. Then we climb across Uplaz (1 301 m), enter forest, and slowly descend to the saddle of Javorina. We continue on following the red trail. IT goes on the slope of Grun. We pass by the saddle of Rakytie and steeply descend to Strecno castle. The trek is really nice taking about 6 hour (the length is 17 kilometers). By the way, there beautiful panoramic vistas up form Mincol.
