CZ: Water Reservoir Orlík-Paradise Of Boats
Orlík Reservoir was put into operation in 1961 and belongs to the Vltava cascade. The lake consists of three rivers, the Vltava, Otava and small, seven kilometres long section of river Lužnice. The huge lake is 2732 ha with an area second only to the Lipno dam. In some places reaches depths of up to 74 meters. On the left side of the river at the dam concrete works 364 MW hydroelectric power plant. On the way from Camp towards Pilsen Sand and cross over the lake and Žďákov Podolský bridge. In the summer it works the entire length of the lake shipping trucks to take tourists cross attractions. Lake brings unique experience especially owners of boats and sailing ships, which from spring to autumn cruise infinite water level up to an unforgettable sunset.
