Welcome to Pompeii, a city that was the pride of the Roman Empire and finished by natural disasters...
After the eruption of Vesuvius (79 AD) the city was covered in hot ashes. Till today archaeological uncover for us excavations of developed ancient cities. We admire the temples, an amphitheater and a small theater, merchants and town houses, gardens, baths, brothels, artistic decorations (paintings, mosaics), wide paved streets and alleys with small carved characters and practiced crafts and we can feel mystery around.

Volcanic tragedy which met Italian town of Pompei, situated on slope of Vesuvius Mountain in 79 A.D., preserved valuable information about life conditions of people at that time.
One evening six years ago I saw a very good documentary film in TV - The Beauty of European Shore. Among every destination presented my attention attracted the Aeolian Islands located in southern part of Italy right next to Sicily. They consist of seven populated islands.
This national reservation located only few kilometers from Naples is a place with top-class services for demanding customers is also a place where top companies have their representation. On a small area live quite lot of inhabitants prospering from tourism.
Ancient Etruscan and later Roman city is located near the Apennine Mountains in northern Italy. The city is in the heart of the region of Emilia Romagna and on its borders flow the rivers of Panaro and Secchia.
Today we continue in our walks through Genoa, one of the main cities of Italian culture and history. In the last weeks we have learned something on Piazza Ferrari or Piazza Giacomo Matteoti. Today we look at another parts of the city, hopefully we help you to get in the mood for the summer and give you inspiration for prospective vacation.
