Published: 14.7.2022

Shores of the Gargano peninsula has up to 50-meter high limestone cliffs with caves and white beaches. Some are accessible only by boat. And you have to take an elevator to reach others. Somewhere you can find sand. At other places pebbles. The sea is warm and the shore goes slightly down hill. The tide formed limestone into bizarre formations – gates, many islands, caves… Men built somewhere small fishermen villages. The center of each of them is a fortress and a temple. Below, the network of narrow zigzaggy streets is laid out offering merciful shadow in summer heat.
