Bygdoy is located just few minutes from the Oslo centre, but retains its country character. There is a summer residence of Norwegian royal Family. The same address has also many permanent interesting museums: Norwegian Museum of Folk Architecture Museum of Viking ships, the Kon-Tiki Museum, Norwegian Maritime Museum and the polar ship Fram.
