According to written notices, the community of Lutina existed just in 1300. Anyway, the first written message comes of 1491. The village was known as Lutina (dedicated from the word of lutum, what means - to pay). The other written notice about the village comes from 1558. At that time period, the village had school building, parsonage, two small chapels, malt-house and mill. However, in 1682, the village was completely burnt out by Turks, nevertheless, since 1715, the community was re-built again. And finally, in 1773, the community got its actual name. The 1st World War hardly influenced the life of the village. From 100 persons (men) who went to fight, only a couple of them returned home. The war stroke also local church, as the bells, placed there, disappeared. However, also later, the village suffered from two great fires (in 1928 and 1929) as well as the world economic crisis. This fact forced many inhabitants to leave the community and move abroad. Even within the 2nd World War, the village survived its hardest time period, as many local persons, led into captivity, did not returned at all. Nevertheless, after liberation, a calm period came finally, the people returned and started to participate in working activities. In 1959, new House of Culture was open to public.
