First time I got into Hradec was when taking pictures in the Orlicke Mountains. It fell in love with the city instantly. I get off my car, looked at the First-Republic houses facades, looked at faces of several people and I knew that I wasn’t here for the last time.

A little less than twenty kilometers from Hradec Kralove, the region capital, there is Jaromer, the town full of history.

The town consists of several historical settlements: Kopidlno, Drahoraz, Mlynec, Ledkov, Pseves. In 1998, a Parliament representative declared Kopidlno a town.

Nove Mesto nad Metuji is located in a fertile part of the Region of Hradec Kralove in northeastern Bohemia in 332 meters above the sea level. A cliff and the Metuje River are typical landmarks of this historical city, which was so inspiring to Czech writers.

Smirice – a town that is not particularly interesting. There are almost no tourists. Nevertheless, for many Smirice is an interesting stop for those who visit Kralovehradcky Region, for there is a chapel, castle, and also a train station.

Spa – who would like it. Peace and health. Velichovky Spa specialize, or until at the beginning of July, specialized to musculoskeletal system healing. Who had troubles with joints or bones traveled to Velichovky.

Humprecht Castle, a hunting castle, is located close to the town of Sobotka. The castle is clearly visible for it is situated on a hill, however, it is surrounded by a dense forest. When you are close to the castle you will need probably to till yourself back in order to see it.

Kost Castle is one of the most important stops on a list of Czech landmarks, as a matter of fact one of the longest list in the world. Besides Karlstejn, perhaps everybody would remember Kost among historical landmarks of the Czech Republic.

Taken its area Vesec is almost unnoticeable. Still it is a distinct village near Sobotka. It is located on the edge of the Bohemian Paradise Protected Area. It is a true paradise for filmmakers and tourists despite you wouldn’t find here a pub or a refreshments stand.

Častolovice is a picturesque town situated in East Bohemia, located close to Orlické Mountains, in an altitude of 268 metres above sea level, in eastern direction from Hradec Králové, and 35 kilometres distant from Pardubice. Thanks to its position, rich cultural and social life and sightseeings, Častolovice is a frequent target of many visitors.

This community, situated in a valley of Židovka-torrent, in an altitude of 460 metres above sea level, is surrounded with afforested hills and beautiful countryside. Machovska Lhota/ Ostra Gora frontier crossboard is distant only 2,4 kilometres. Machov is tourist, skiers' as well as cyclists' target. The hills and mountains are always within easy reach.

Chlumec nad Cidlinou is a small town, with Kinsky Castle dcominanta, proudly erecting above Cidlina-river. On the other hand: it is a place where the time was completely stopped. However, it happened during a period which was not too positive with its memories for Bohemian nation.
