Belohrad Spa: Therapy by peace - VIDEO

The The high summer season and even here in the spa town, maybe smaller, it is not too full of life. Not very helpful gentleman employed in the local Infocentre gave us several leaflets about the town where he was born Karel Vaclav Rais. He is not very communicative, although his "office" is located in precisely those places where it became the birthplace of Rais.

Well, finally - even the famous native had no too much respect during his life and he had to die so that people understand only after years of range of his work. Maybe the Lord of the Infocentre will leave a link for future generations yet. You, as the Belohrad Spa go in the short future, do not try to claim more than is given to you, take what is offered to you and head out into the city.

How is life in Spa Belohrad

Spa Belohrad are nestled in beautiful countryside under Giant Mountains. Everywhere are hills and wildlife. The road winds, brings you steeply down to the corner again to stem rise up. The surroundings of Spa Belohrad can possibly fascinate more than the city itself. But it is up to each of you what are you looking for. And if it's rest, then it is the right place. But if looking for fun, a short walk will suffice.

Spa Belohrad is at first sight different from all the towns where the only living. They are a spa and so trying to look as well. There are wide paved walkways and flowers everywhere in the streets, shop wafers, pastry shops, restaurants and hotels. Everything remains ready for huge quantity of people.

If we would to stay with a detailed description, we will say - city the number one. Sad thing that everything described is empty. In the streets are walking a few spa guests who are there trying to find a distraction vainly. Local occupy their favourite pubs and whispering about how looks new spa guest and speculate about why they came to their town.

On the other hand who would be put out peace and quiet when he hurt his back, joints, suffers from rheumatism or in Spa Belohrad trying to alleviate the effects of trauma? Such people probably will not be much truth. And people just like that in the foothills of the place goes very happy. Medicinal mud springs have good reputation in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Colorfull and very human is history of the Spa Belohrad, settlements, which was originally called Nova Ves, where stood a wooden church and a wooden fortress. In 1543 Jindřich Škopek of Otradovice bought Nová Ves and his son had converted to the original stone fort. Over time, Germans began to move frequently to the mountain landscape. Then the village became the property of the Wallenstein family. In their times, the fortress was rebuilt to the Baroque chateau. The new form was given a church as well. In 1722 settlement was promoted to the city by Charles IV. and the same year, same place was called differently - Belohrad.

In 1880 Max Domitzer built on the left bank of the river Javorka cleansing bath with hot water.

The city grew up, received mail, stations and civil union and several bath houses and hotels. Actively also worked Sokol and civil discussion. Until the First World War, everything went as clockwork, but welfare time was replaced by the hunger, misery and suffering. After some time Belohrad reawaken and return to the city of peace, which in short time turns a power struggle of Adolph Hitler. The year 1948 and the advent of socialism, then the year 1961 and the related merger of the four surrounding villages Upper Nova Ves, Belohrad, Middle and Lower Nova Ves Nova Ves in one city Spa Belohrad.
