Pec pod Sněžkou II.

Pec pod Sněžkou is a small town situated on northeastern part of Czech Republic. It is an important centre of tourist movement.

Thanks to its position near to Polish border and especially thabks to ski centre with ten towages and wire-rope railway  allures many tourists of various countries of Europe. Anyway, there are not only the skiers, who visit this tourist centre. The tourist can enjoy the beauties of  Krkonoše Mountains.

The outskirts of Pec is preserved nature area, so the development of industry did not marked  the area a lot.  Most of tourist walk to the highest peak of  Krkonoše and at the same time the highest peak of Czech Republic – Sněžka (1602 m).

As to me, I visited this palce twenty times at least, a I have to remark that – especially under favourable weather conditions – the total round view around Krkonoše is worth to see for tiring climbing, or wire-rope railway ride (quite expensive), used mostly by foreigners.

I am of the opinion that local tourist prefers climbing on foot.
