As the weather in the Czech Republic has been very warm and sunny in the last days, we used this opportunity to make a nice trip. We set off to Stechovice from Prague's Smichovske nadrazi by bus No. 390. The village is a great point to join the 10-kilometer trail Svatojanske proudy.

The Sazava is sought after by many paddlers. Should you hear somebody saying anything about riding the Golden River, he certainly talks about the Sazava. The alternate name for the river comes from its brown-yellowish color created by clay releasing from the riverbed. The upper stream of the Szava is the Struzny creek. It feeds Velke Darko the largest pond of the Bohemian Moravian Highlands. This pond is a popular vacation place and the center of windsurfing and dragon boats.

Bohamian Paradise is very popular. People like to return here. This area is situated about 80 kilometers northeast of Prague and is protected nature area (CHKO) established in 1955. It is the very first protected nature area in the former Czechoslovakia. CHKO Bohemian Paradise was founded because of unique rocky towns so they would be preserved for the future generations. Apart from rocky towns, there is peace and quiet, amazing lakes, and many historic landmarks waiting for your visit.
