The 15th century town house was extensively renovated in 2015. In February 2016, this sight of cultural value was reopened to the public. Now it serves as an educational as well as cultural center. The historical house has modern equipment yet some of its historical features were carefully renovated and incorporated into the house.

This time we visit Mlada Boleslav, a city about 50 kilometers from Prague situated in the region of Central Bohemia. You probably know it as the home to the world famous car company.

There is the renaissance chateau of Breznice near the mining town of Pribram. Its history is deep and rich. There are several tours for the visitors. Yet they can also take a break in the park or the zwinger garden. The café at cheau is also a nice spot to sit down and relax.

What unusual is happening at this castle? It is simply haunted. Do you know already? Krakovec castle is well-known for Knight Brtnik of Brtnik, a character from a movie. However, the castle was built in the deep forests near Rakovnik more than 600 years ago. It also played a role in the life of important historical characters such as Jan Hus.

HOTEL Chateau BERCHTOLD is situated near Prague in the fabulous land of Lada. Its name comes from the noble Berchtold family. They owned the chateau at the turn of the 20th century. In 2005, a complete reconstruction and revitalization of the chateau began. It transformed the compound to a place where interesting events take place. Especially families with children are fond of the chateau for its family atmosphere and delicious food.

The core of Melnik is its Peace Square (Namesti miru). There are all important sights around the square just couple of meters one from another. In the beginning of the year 2016 there will be the last chance for tourists to walk in a vast forest area they have never been to before. There are not even signs for tourists. The closed military area of Brdy will be open to the public. It means that only 90 kilometers from the south end of Prague you will have an opportunity to walk somewhere beyond Rozmital through the woods without stumbling upon any settlement or a busy road!

At a former mine compound which is a cultural sight today, there are some ground routes. One will take you to the former bunker in Homole hill. There is an underground shaft with heavy machines. Two routes are available – first one takes two hours or the second one which takes one hour. An authentic lecture begins because former miners who worked at Mayrau mne work here as tour guides.
