Region of Karlovy Vary - Czech republic

It is situated on the West of the country. It is famous especially by its balneology.

Hot and cold  springs are welling up from the earth for thousand of years. Let´s name three well-known and biggest spas – there are Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) and Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad).

This year's winter is really rich in snow. And where to go on a trip when the lifts are closed, but you want to enjoy the snow? There are few possibilities in the Czech Republic and the Czech mountains are not only the Giant Mountains, the Jizera Mountains or the Jeseníky Mountains. Fortunately, there are more than enough opportunities for great use of free time in our country in the Czech Republic. This time we are going to the Ore Mountains for the weekend, we plan to spend the night under the aisle near the village of Měděnec, a sports day in the Klínovec Trail Park and relaxation by the pond.

Spa Resort Sanssouci, Karlovy Vary offers top standard of its spa, accommodation, and other services. The most popular service is a comprehensive spa treatment. It consists mostly of application of wholesome thermal water from Karlovy Vary. This water is drained to Spa Resort Sassouci and Mercedes Balneocenter. You could assume this should be something natural in the famous spa region. However, not every hotel that offers spa services has water drained from the Vridlo thermal spring as well.

Late Gothic castle was founded by the lords of Osek. In the end of the 18th century, a Baroque chateau was built right next to it. It is the main reason why tourists even visit the city of the same name. Moreover, the Reliquary of St Maurus has been on display here since 2002.
