You find this region on South-west of the country. There are missing the towns of medium greatness here, therefore the natural centre of all concentration in the region there is the town of Pilsen, well-known throughout the world with its  production of beer.

In the restaurant we were stopped by youngster who asked as in German if we know by chance know the exchange rate Czech crown against the euro. On the square in Domažlice spoke German and naturally as if Hitler had won the war and finally took the whole Czech territory.

Kralovice

The town of Kralovice is a natural as well as cultural centre of northern part of Pilsen Region, situated 35 kms in north direction of Pilsen. First written notice about a village with a stronghold comes of 1183. The town received its town´s rights in 1547, in this year got also its escutcheon.

Plasy

In district of Pilsen-north, in a distance of 21 kms of Pilsen. There is situated the community of Plasy. The town was successively founded near to Cisterciac monastery, established with a document of 1144. signed by Prince Vladislav II. The monastery was created on place of Prince courtyard, it was changed under the administration of Religious Fund after its closing.

Nýřany

The town of Nýřany is situated in Pilsen-North district, in Pilsen region, in an area of Pilsen Hills, distant in western direction of Pilsen, with approx. 7000 inhabitants. The town is consisted of quarters of Nýřany, Doubrava and Kamenný Újezd. First written notice comes of 1272.

American garden

Gutstein castle

The castle of Gutstein can be found 1 km in southern direction from Daňkov farm, not far of Konstantinovy Lázně. It is a ruin of Gothic castle situated on a hill in afforested countryside near to Úterský brook and small river of Hadovka.

Rabštejn nad Střelou

Rabštejn nad Střelou is a historical town, situated in western Bohemia over right bank of Střela-river. At present it is, with its 25 permanent living persons, the smallest town in Czech Republic. Rabštejn is placed in nature park of Horní Střela (Upper Střela), its nucleus is declared as town´s monument zone, since 10th September 1992.

Bezdružice

Bezdružice is a small town with 1000 of inhabitants, situated in northeast part of Tachov district. It is placed in a beautiful, intact countryside, surrounded with deep forests and outside of main roads. It serves as a centre for several communities as well as a seat of local administration office and Micro-region of Konstantinovy Lázně.

Horšovský Týn castle

Horšovský Týn is originally early Gothic castle, now re-built in Renaissance style. Its attraction is especially in its subjugated Middle Age atmosphere. As it is obvious in mostly of places, where castles were founded, there existed varoius dwelling places or trade-points.

Plzeň - Pilsen

The town of Pilsen is situated in the region of the same name. It was established in 1295, in conformity with the order of Bohemain King Wenceslas II. It is placed on confluence of rivers of Radbuza, Mže, Úhlava and Úslava. Since its foundation, the town is very important trade centre, as it was situated along frequented way crossings from Nurenberg to Regensburg.
