River description:
Nežárka river is navigable all year round, especially from its confluence with Nová Řeka (New River). Its upper flow could have a lack of water in dry summer. Water register in Lásenice would show 70 cm at least. Its lower section from Nová Řeka is very often used by navigation on Lužnice-river , provided we do not wish to drive Stará Řeka (Old River).
The navigation is made, for its weak sa little slower. A canal Dekárka is a place of interest, this turns away over the last weir in Veselí on its left part. mouthing to Lužnice-river.
Nežárka river is created by confluence of Kamenice and Žirovnice rivers near to Jarošov .
It flows through Jindřichohradecká Highlands to southwest, near to Stráž nad Nežárkou it turns to northwest. It mouth to Lužnice in Veselí nad Lužnicí from its right side.
Nežárka flows first between meadows, in its second section the forests of Protected Nature Area Třeboňsko are approaching. Th river-slope is small, moreover, the water is kept with many weirs, some of them are passable. The river-bed is clear and the navigation quite comfortable.
As to tributaries: it is Hamerský brook and Nová Řeka /New River).
Accommodation:
The river – from Stráž nad Nežárkou to Veselí na Lužnicí – flows through Protected Nature Area Třeboňsko, where ther are no navigation limitations but it is possible to use official camping places only. We find such places near Stráž nad Nežárkou and along very frequented section to Veselí nad Lužnicí (see watermen map of Lužnice).

It is available in Jarošov nad Nežárkou, Jindřichův Hradec, Dolní Žďár, Lásenice, Stráž nad Nežárkou and Veselí na Lužnicí.

Jindřichův Hradec: extended castle with Renaissance summerhouse, several churches.
Lásenice: people´s houses, small gallery.
Stráž nad Nežárkou: castle of 17th century (E.Destinnová), Gorhic church of 14th century.
Jemčina: Baroque hunting castle of 18th century with a park.
Hamr: strongholůd of 16th century, former Adamits´ island.
