Early in the 10th century lead the paths through this area and met on place of today´s town of Velké Meziříčí. In 12th century the upper riverside of Oslava-river was colonized, so it was inhabited the basin of Velké Meziříčí. The first written notice is of 1281, Znata of Meziříčí is mentioned.
