This dam was terminated in 1913. It is situated in central flow of Doubrava river.
Originally, the dam served as a protection against floodings. At present, it is used for production of electric energy. For this purpose, two Banki turbines ara available, each of capacity of 75 kW. Its pier is constructed of gneiss walls, its height has 23 m, its length has 142 m. Pařížov Dam belongs to most beautiful ones in Czech Republic. Its beauty is appreciated especially by tourists. Along the river, you find tourist trail, the place is attractive also for fishermen.
