Morava-river basin terminated pier reparation of Vranov water work

Morava-river-basin finished more than two years´ pier reparations of water work Vranov on Dyje-river. The works, containing of three stages, took nearly CZK 47 millions and concerned especially concrete constructions, damaged during floodings in August 2002. Part of this reconstructions was accompanied by water-level decrease at extraordinary manipulation.

The reconstruction was finished in November 2005. It was most largest operation since setting to operation in 1934. State enterprise Povodí Moravy terminated, for instance, saving of stop nucleus of Mostiště pier for the amount relating to CZK 62 millions. The basin obtained for these works bank-loan without interest, the remaining half was paid by state. In November were finished also works in Přibice (Břeclav district) for Jihlava river-bed deviation, destructed by floodings in 2002 as well. The repair works cost CZK 20 millions.

In November finished Povodí Moravy also the construction of flooding protection of town of Třebíč. Quay-wall along Jihlava-river cost CZK 28,2 millions, the town donated the sum of CZK 1,3 millions. The flooding in 2002 damaged also seven weirs and banks of Moravian Dyje in Písečné in Znojmo district.  The repairs took the sum of CZK 21,6 millions since August 2004. The company specialised later, by means of work Střední Morava mainly for flooding protection of town of Napajedla  in Zlín district, this works are to be terminated in December 2006. Total costs exceed  CZK 28 millions. The part of these constructions form earth-piers as well as iron-concrete walls. The wall against flooding  is procured also on Brumovka-river in Bylnice (Zlín district), since November.

Work Horní Morava provided the biggest reconstruction of pier at water work Bystřička up to now. The reason for these works were floodings of 1997, which hit this dam expressively. Povodí Moravy invested here - from its own sources - nearyly CZK 27 millions and state donated  CZK 100 millions approximately. Sediments removing from dam-bottom was managed by State Fund of Life Environment with the sum of CZK 19,3 millions, river bed with more than CZK 13 millions. Purifying and sediments´removing of Oskava river bed (near Uničov) cost CZK 1,3 millions (it was made before biocorridor establishment).
