Jablonec nad Nisou is placed approx. 13 kms of Liberec, in an altitude of 475 m, not far from Jizerské hory (Jizerské Mountains). Through the town flows the river Lužická Nisa. Jablonec is known especially through its production of bijoux, glass and - in the latest time period – of production of so called „Grand Mobil Phone“ , similar to the classical phone.
