Nový Jičín district
This route can be classified as less difficult, but it is quite long. We start our excursion in town of Studénka, along cycloroute No. 6011. In community of Nová Horka, we follow marked cycloroute No. 5 and pass through Bartošovice. We can see here a castle of Baroque style of 18th century. In outskirts of this village, we can admire, near to Odra river, a technical monument with Renaissance elements - a water mill. We pass preserved nature area of Poodří to Kunín, following river of Jičínka to the town of Nový Jičín. Here, it is worth to visit a Renaissance castle with late Gothic and Renaissance elements and museum collections. Further, we follow marked cycloroute No. 502, via community of Rybí to the town of Štramberk, with well-known Trúba tower. Your way from Štramberk may be variegated with diversion to Bílá Hora (White Hill) look-out-tower. Under favourable weather conditions, you can have a wonderfull view to Ostrava, as well as to Beskydy and Jeseníky Mountains. Further, we continue to the town of Kopřivnice, where we can visit Tatra-Cars Museum. The other place of interest – it is a town of Příbor, with its people´s architecture and a house, where Sigmund Freund was born. From here, we continue our drive via community of Sedlnice, on right side you can see natural monument of Sedlnické sněženky (Snowdrops of Sedlnice). So, later we follow marked cycloroute No. 6039 to the community of Nová Horka, and along cycloroute No. 6011 we reach back Studénka, where we started.
