It is not necessary to provide you with some extensive introduction of the High Tatras. These mountains are simply splendid. They lay in the heart of Europe, being a well-known and popular destination among domestic and foreign tourists. Mostly those who love alpine treks travel here frequently. Koprovsky peak (2367 m) is one of the most famous and most visited points of interest there.

There are many beautiful towns and villages in east Slovakia. We visit one of them today. This one is situated between Branisko, the Levoccske hills, the Hornadska basin just several kilometers from Spissky Castle. The village is called Polanovce. There are interesting buildings as well as beautiful nature.

After a while, we return to the village of Cicmany famous for its painted timbered houses. In 1977, this was the reason behind declaring it a folk architecture reserve. However, this is not the only interesting thing about this village near the Strazovske Vrchy.
