Ski-lovers in High Tatra do not loose the offer, presented in the course of couple of years in Czech Railway Services Survey. For travellers to Ski Area Park Snow High Tatra by means of train with car on board  there is available 10% reduction for daily ticket.

This price-reduction in the area Park Snow, Štrbské Pleso is valid since 5th January till 30th March 2008, on base of presentation of accommodation confirmation. The same conditions are valid in summer months for train from Prague to Split (Croatian beach of Jadran). So, you can use for your trip to High Tatra the fast train R 225 „Šírava“ – departure from Prague-Central Station at 22,06 h, arrival to Poprad (Slovakia) at 6,30h next day (Loading of cars is effected since 20,30 h till 20,45 h). By means of this train can be transported passenger cars, motorcycles, in summer also bicycles. Moreover, in winter months ski-eqipment, can be transported, put in transport boxes and carriers inside of cars or in coupé. The reason for this is car-height limit which cannot exceed the construction border of 1,5 m.

Return to Prague is stipulated by fast train R 224 „Šírava“ -  departure from Poprad - Tatry at 21,49 h (Loading of cars since 19,45 h till 20,15 h). Return ticket for a car incl. a driver to Poprad costs EUR 50,- (CZK 1400,-), the price in CZK is ranging according to actual EUR rate. Extra charge for accommodation services in a special sleeping carriage costs CZK 126,-.

Anyway, you have to study transfer conditions carefully before departure. Maximal height of cars cold be 1,5 m, the width could not exceed 1,85 m. The car-height includes also roof-addition or luggage boxes, placed on roof.

Provided you prefer to travel during the day, use  direct train of EX/EC 121 „Košičan“ – departure from Prague at 11:06 h, from Olomouc at 13:57 h, arrival to Poprad at 18:09 h. Return to Prague is stipulated by train EX/EC 120 „Košičan“ – departure from Poprad at 9:52 h, arrival to Olomouc at 14:04, arrival to Prague-Central Station at 17:00 h. You can use - for this trip suitable return ticket City Star Slovakia which costs EUR 40,- (CZK 1100,- approx.). Price in CZK changes according to actual EUR rate.
