Tips for trips
We travel again. After the visit in the church town of Gammelstad and Sweden’s capital Stockholm we move to Norway. We visit this time Trondheim, a port city on the shore of Trondheim Fjord and the Nidelva River.
The capital of Thailand belongs to largest cities in southeast Asia as there live 8 million people. Cheap flight transportation makes it a natural place from where to start travels to the region including countries like Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, or Malaysia. In my opinion, too bad than many travelers spend there a day or two and move on.
The castle is not a historical building yet it enjoys high number of visitors. Couple of kilometers west from Prague a structure that looks like a castle was built in 2002. You can see there couple of architecture styles. The garden and its structures is nice thing there. The true historical sight there is the 17th century Hajek Monastery.
On my road from Cádiz to Toledo, I spent couple of days in Lisbon. I think I really deserve some comfort and a shower. Thus, I would live in a hostel this time.
We entered the first courtyard if Nitra Castle while going across a stone bridge. The direction board led us to the road to its individual parts. We started our exploration on a path going to outlook territory where the Diocese Museum is located as well as a bishopric palace.
After we enjoyed walks in Finnish towns of Kuopio and Rovaniemi, we set off to explore another Scandinavian country. This time Sweden, or rather the Kingdom of Sweden.
When I was arriving at the center of Krabi province I didn’t expect much. Guidebooks don’t mention it at all and it is rather an obligatory stop for many travelers while transporting to local islands or to nearby Ao Nang resort.
The Czech Republic has become sort of the observation tower superpower in the last few years. 24 new were opened in 2014 alone and many new are being still under construction.
We had last day to spend in Xian. We had tickets not to the opera but for the evening train which would get us to my beloved Chengdu 成都.

Right after we traveled through the capitals of the Baltics, we moved by ship to Finland where we paid a visit to beautiful yet bit expensive Helsinki. Still, it would be a mistake to pass it for there is lots to see.
Krabi province in south Thailand has been more and more popular. Ao Nang resort and Ko Phi Phi are its greatest attractions. They offer splendid sceneries around limestone cliffs, many great bars, restaurants, and nearby are beaches like Railay, Ko Poda, and Ko Hong which are among the most beautiful in all Thailand.
Cordoba was the richest city of the West and the center of Islamic culture. First emirs resided in Seville. In the sixth year of Arab occupation (716) Emir Alhor moved his court to Cordoba. The ruled as deputies of the caliph of Damask. They were military warlords subordinated to the might of the House of Umayyad.
Terracotta army in Xian 西安 was truly interesting yet it wasn’t the only thing we saw there. We were, perhaps, bit disappointed from all those people we had met there. Whether they were tourists looking for something exciting, or vendors trying to make profits, and I don’t even mention high admission… We even hadn’t seen any good place to have lunch in. We ate only some snack, got on the bus to get back to the city.
We concluded our hike across Nitra at “historical” graffiti last week. It was interesting for us and it also showed us the direction we would choose. Not even a minute later we were on maintained Zupni Square and a yellow building as its landmark.
After a visit in Riga, Latvia we set off to the last of the Baltic countries – Estonia. Northernmost Baltic country has rich history and amazing sights. We traveled to Tallinn to see those.

Trip we make today together will take us to western Romanian city of Timisoara.
Last week we took a stroll in pedestrian zone leading to Nitransky Castle. We stopped at many works of art that depicted fame from the times of Great Moravia. As for architectonic gems, we visited a synagogue, and today we continue in our journey.
Our trip to the Baltics region started in Lithuania. There we visited two beautiful cities – Vilnius and Trakai. Today, we move to Latvia, Lithuania’s neighbor. We visit its capital, Riga. The city is truly charming.
Endless beaches with white coral sand, countless of Buddhist temples, breathtaking mountain vistas, many kinds of exotic life, and vivid life in the capital.
Engelberg resort town is a starting place to our trip. It is known for rich system of bike trails and hike trails. Also skiers will enjoy the place in winter. Engelberg, one can say, is in the center of Switzerland, in Obwalden canton at 1050 meters.
The Temple of Eight Immortals (Ba xian an八仙庵) is the largest Tao temple in Xi'an 西安. When we were deciding on what sight to see as the first, the temple was pretty clear choice.
A week ago we have encountered Nitra’s history and present. Today we go for a day-long trip the highlight of which is Nitransky castle.
After a short while, we are back in Lithuania. Maybe you remember our last visit to the town of Trakai and its wonderful Island Castle. This time we explore the capital and the largest city of this Baltic country - Vilnius.
