Austria: Styria – Murtal a Vacation of Many Experiences

After a year we get back to the resort of Murtal west from Graz, Styria. This region welcomes its visitor. It has a lot of attractions and events we will introduce you in the following lines.
The region of Murtal does not have just Alpine peaks, green meadows or great food. It offers you many experiences and adventure. This year the region focuses on increasing speed but also slowing down. It offers you peace in form of tourism in the Murtal mountains or walks in virgin nature. On the other hand, climbing trips or family hikes around will get you going. Or you can get on some well-maintained bike trails. It is up to you how you want to enjoy this landscape of many beautiful views and many historical towns. You can enjoy it in slow tempo, or make it all fast by attending top events of many top-notch adrenaline experiences.
Murtal in move
One of the greatest adrenaline experiences is legendary Formula 1 championship that will be held in Murtal, Austria after 11 years. The competition will be held at Spielberg circuit. The most important car racing will start on 20th of June and end on June 22, 2014. Several days (weeks) later the fans of car racing might enjoy the Truck Race Trophy (4. - 6. 7. 2014), or DTM racing (2. - 3. 8. 2014).
Even those fond of biking will enjoy the place. On 29th and 31st of May 2014, the 24th biking competition Tour de Mur a will be held in the region. Tourists will enjoy the 12th world championship in tourism held from 25th to 27th of September, 2014.
Also, the "take a bike “ event is another great thing going on there. It is some sort of the first green Formula 1 championship in Murtal’s history. More than 1000 bikes will be available to the visitors of the Formula 1 championship and other events. The bikes will allow you to pass several meters (kilometers) from your place to the racing circuit without getting stuck in a traffic jam.
An unusual event is going to be the "spring cleaning ". Locals and foreign visitors will help to clean and beautify the region. One may paint fences or plant plants. This will help to create an image of local towns as a vacation paradise.
Tourism and hikes above all
Do you love nature? If so, Murtal is made for tourism. Since this summer there are 7 "heavenly places" in Hohentauern. You can set off on adventurous hikes right at Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen park. There are many romantic falls, caves, chasms, turfs, alpine meadows and forests. Certainly you should not miss Holzwelt Murau where are many interesting nooks in nature as well as many great pieces of architecture.
Summer region of Murtal offers many experiences and beauties and trips. An interesting fact is that if you have an accommodation here you will receive a regional card full of advantages. You will make use of it because there are many sales at great destinations as well as shops and restaurants in the whole region. So, if you still do not know where you should spend your summer vacation, Murtal is certainly an interesting tip.
