Published: 31.5.2012
In the previous article we said a few words about Egypt in general. Today we look a little more on the famous resort of Hurghada. It is the Egyptian city and port on the Red Sea. Originally it was a small fishing village.

Throughout the all following day was a tour of three hotels located in Hurghada. We could hear a few sentences about the history of the city and of course we walked through all its corners. It is interesting that our travel agency was founded specifically focusing on holiday to Egypt. It was established just like in a fairy tale. A young delegate from Germany and heir of a hotel empire fell in love, got married and then use their experience in the field of tourism. Till today they try offer to tourists the best in terms of hotel services in Egypt.

History and attractions of Hurghada

Hurghada is divided into several areas. The northernmost resort of El Gouna was created artificially dug lagoons, which are linked to the open sea. Around the lagoons are located luxury hotels in the Arab style. The whole resort has a very clean and quiet impression. It reminds spa. Centre of Hurghada is its old part, called El Dahar, this is actually the oldest part, and here was originally a small dwelling of local fishermen. This section identifies the best way of Egyptian life. You will find small shops and market places. Even today, the centre consists of the original buildings Dahar, gray, low houses. On the coast are located close together original hotels that are family-and their beaches are built to the letter U. South direction follows Sakkala part is that unlike the old El Dahar newer and more modern tourist center. We can say that this is one long shopping street leading from north to south. On the one hand, it bordered on the beach hotels and on the other side of the small town little hotels and growing residential area towards the inland. The Sakkala Dahar and when the coast is an international port from which ferries sail and speed boat to Sharm El Sheikh and Saudi Arabia. The harbour is a small shipyard and a fish market where you can at any hour of the day buy fresh fish.

New hotels are formed the south of Hurghada across the area of Shahla Hasheesh, to Makadi area. Shahla Hasheesh in translation means "green valley" and becomes a new hit on vacation. From Hurghada it is about 20 km far away off the coast of the Red Sea and provides excellent conditions for diving and exploring the rich underwater flora and fauna. Makadi Bay is the most beautiful place for holiday, there are luxury hotels, diving possibilities and entertainment. It's a place full of sun, sea and relaxation. There are beautiful coral reefs, for a romantic vacation is the best that you can find in Egypt.

Hurghada is the largest tourist centre of Europe in the Red Sea area and has approximately 40 thousand inhabitants.

From the 90th the 20 century is experiencing rapid development, thanks to the construction of hotels, construction of a new international airport and the inflow of foreign investment in the growing tourism industry. With well developed infrastructure for tourists, long sandy beaches and offers interesting excursions to the surroundings at the history of this interesting country has become a favourite holiday destination.

Summer and Summer

The climate on the border is typically between the desert and subtropical. The average annual temperature is 25 °C. Because of this temperature Hurghada is very popular for tourists throughout the year. Jokingly people said that in Hurghada are only two seasons, namely summer and summer. One summer is hot and dry, the other one warm with damp air.

We were lucky that we experienced in April 40 ° C in the sun and the sand storm. It looked as if it is in our mist, with the difference that the air everywhere in the sand. One had the feeling that the sand and breathe. Throughout the day we had the opportunity to see oriental dance show and the evening was a free program. The reception is open for wifi, so who wanted be connect with home, and how well it went in the Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon are what and what you find in Luxor you can read next time.
